These purchase terms apply to private individuals and companies who shop from Tärnsjö Garveri AB’s online store (https://tarnsjogarveri.com). You must be at least 18 years old to shop from us.

These terms of purchase apply from 2021-01-01.

Prices

All prices are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK) including VAT. Prices are provided with reservation for typing errors.

A shipping cost may be added depending on where the goods are to be delivered and which shipping method you have chosen. The shipping options available for your delivery address and its prices are displayed in the shopping cart and on the checkout page.

Shipping and delivery

Normally an order is sent no later than 3-5 working days after ordering if all goods are in stock. Items that are not being discontinued can be ordered even though they are not in stock, we will then announce the expected time before we manufacture or get the product in stock if this is not stated on the product page.

Delivery time varies depending on shipping method, destination address and workload, see the respective shipping company’s website for normal delivery times.

Information about deviating delivery times can be displayed in one of the following places: header, footer, product pages, shopping cart or checkout page, for example during a holidays.

In cases where we offer free shipping, we have the discretion to choose which shipping company and shipping method we find most suitable.

Tärnsjö Garveri is responsible for the product until it is handed over to the customer or delivered to the customer’s specified address. The customer is responsible for any import duties and local taxes.

Uncollected packages

If the customer does not pick up their package within the time specified by the shipping company, it will be returned, we will then charge a fee consisting of the shipping company’s shipping and fees and SEK 200 in administrative fee for the extra handling it means for us.

Transport damage

Make sure the package is not damaged when it arrives at you. If it is damaged, ask the agent / shipping company to make a note of the damage upon delivery, if it is a major damage or you can suspect that the contents are damaged, you can say that you do not want to receive the package due to the damage.

If you do not inform us of transport damage within the time prescribed above, you will lose the claim

The customer can choose between different payment methods at checkout, which payment methods are available depends on the customer’s address.

Return Policy

As a consumer (private person), you can undo your purchase in accordance with The Distance Contracts Act (2005:59), or complain about a product in accordance withThe Consumer Purchase Act (1990:932). As an business, you can complain about a product in accordance with Purchase Act (1990:931) or The law on international purchases (1987:822).

Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the time they receive their order, you must notify us and return the item to us within these 14 days if you regret your purchase. Products you wish to return must be in the same condition and packaging must be intact in order to be able to get back the full amount if the product or its packaging changed or damaged we will make a depreciation deduction.

Contact us by e-mail to webshop@tansjogarveri.com if you regret your purchase and want to return your item. Upon return, the product must be as well packaged as when we sent it to you. The buyer bears the cost of return shipping of 199 SEK when exercising the right of withdrawal.

A personalized or custom-made item is not covered by the right of withdrawal.

An item sold as is are not covered by the right of withdrawal.

Complaint

You should inspect your goods when they are delivered to you so that you have received the right goods and that they are faultless. Inspect the goods at regular intervals so that no damage has occurred. Do not use a product if it is damaged, it may make the damage worse or lead to damage to person or property.

If you want to complain about an item, contact Tärnsjö Garveri AB within a reasonable time after the error has been discovered or should have been discovered. Complaints can not be made after more than 3 years as a consumer, or after more than 2 years as a business.

We will primarily try to remedy any defects by repair, if it is not possible to repair the product or if we judge that it is not worth repairing, we will offer a replacement product, price reduction or cancellation of the purchase.

After you have contacted us and given us a description of the error, we may request more information, such as a more detailed description or photographs. This is to simplify the processing. We may also need to agree on how the product will be delivered to us or how we can remedy the error so that you are satisfied. Normally, the product must be delivered to us within 14 days after we have agreed on how it is to be done. If the product is sent, it must be packed well.

Once we have received the product, we will examine it, if the complaint is approved, we will fix the error and bear the shipping costs. If it is not an original defect, we will charge the customer shipping costs and an inspection fee and depending on the nature of the defect, we may offer repair, we will then give the customer a quote.

If a product is sold in as is condition, a limited right of complaint applies, consumers can complain about a product if it is in worse condition than the customer could have expected. As a company, the condition of the product must be significantly worse than what the customer could have expected in order to be able to complain.

A unique product in living natural materials

We at Tärnsjö Garveri are proud to make products in a handcrafted way from leather we ourselves make through vegetable tanning. This means that our products have a natural variation in appearance and may contain natural artifacts that on other products could be classified as a defect. Our tanning gives a living material that changes depending on how you take care of it and what it is exposed to. It is completely natural for the leather to change its appearance over time, for example a color change from sunlight or from just touching it, so take good care of your product so it can develop a beautiful patina. Read our advice on leather care and contact us if you need more information. We reserve the right to refuse a complaint if it is a matter of natural variations or changes or if a product has been damaged due to normal wear and tear, incorrect treatment or negligence.

Refund

If you have an unpaid invoice with Klarna, you must move the due date with them yourself. Once we have received and checked the returned item, we will refund the amount to the card or account you paid with within 30 days.

Disputes

If a dispute arises, you can notify the Board for Consumer Complaints (ARN) in Sweden, we have a policy to follow their recommendation.

Force majeure

Tärnsjö Garveri can not be held responsible for inconveniences that arise due to events beyond our control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, lightning strikes, interruptions in public communications, power outages, interruptions in Internet communications, general shortages of raw materials or stock, wars, riots, unrest, illness, import / export restrictions, legal regulations, government decisions, trade union measures or other obstacles to work, fire, explosion or other accidents.
