Description
Our leather sole in vegetable-tanned leather provides the horse with a natural, shock-absorbing, flexible barrier between hoof and shoe. The leather moulds to the hoof, distributes pressure evenly, and helps increase comfort—especially for horses with sensitive or thin soles.
The leather is highly breathable and regulates moisture, creating a more natural climate under the sole compared with synthetic alternatives. At the same time, it effectively protects against stones, hard ground, and impacts, reducing the risk of sole soreness and overloading.

This leather sole is made in our own saddlery workshop here in Tärnsjö.

It takes about 4 weeks for the leather to go through the process from raw hide to finished leather—craftsmanship that must be given time. All hides come from Swedish farms, most from local farms around Tärnsjö.
